Little Cloud by Eric Carle Cloud Shapes Craft
The fun thing about homeschooling is that you can literally make anything a learning activity! My favorite way to get learning in is by having the kids pick a book and then getting creative with activities to go along with it. I hope you love this Little Cloud by Eric Carle Cloud Shapes Craft as much as we had fun creating it! This lesson plan is great for kids ages 3-7 years old.
For a homeschooling day, my kids choose a day based on the book Little Cloud book by Eric Carle. So we snuggled up on the couch as I read to them the story.
After reading the story we talked about what the story was about. Since this book is all about clouds, it is the perfect way to get science and art in along with reading.
If you are looking for more activities to go along with this awesome book check out these!
We finished this day off with this fun cotton candy drink but I only used the blue cotton candy so they looked like rain clouds.

Cloud Shapes Craft Directions
If it is a nice day outside let your child go outside and see what shapes they can see out of the clouds. If it is not a cloud in the sky you can have them pick out their favorite cloud from the book. Draw their favorite cloud shape onto the paper.

Have your child apply the glue to the inside of the shape. Then let them place the cotton all over the glue, they can break it apart or leave them in tight balls.

Let them use the other craft supplies to make their clouds come to life. My son wanted to do the bunny so we added some eyes, a blue cotton nose, and some pipe cleaner whiskers. Just let their imagination go wild.
