DIY LEGO Table
This DIY Lego Table was a fun and easy project that I did recently for my son and he loved it. He loves having his own place to build his LEGO creations.
My husband made a tool bench for our son when he was little but now that he’s growing up he doesn’t really play with toy tools anymore so instead of just getting rid of this thing my husband worked so hard to make for him I decided to up cycle it into something that will grow with him.

The great thing about making a LEGO table yourself is that you can make it just how your kids would like it the most.
They sell many different based place options nowadays I personally used an old-school island and then a regular green piece to make the green board look like it was grass and blue board for water because my child loves to play with pirate Legos.

Tips For Making a DIY LEGO Table
Use what you have or can find. This upcycled DIY LEGO Table can be done on relatively any child size table. If you don’t have an extra table at home check your local thrift store or facebook marketplace and grab an end table, child table or child sized desk to make yours.
Measure ahead of time. Each Lego base plate it’s about a 10 inch square. You will want enough lego base pieces to cover the base of your table.
Trim the Bases to fit. Once you have purchased the amount of squares you need to cover the table you might need to cut down the base plates to size. If you need to cut the base plates down to size measure where you need to cut it and at that point use your box cutter to score where on the base plate you need it to cut. Once you have scored the base plate bend the plate back-and-forth until the plate breaks along the scoreline.
Putting LEGO Plates on a vertical surface. If you are trying to get the plates to stick to a vertical surface I found it helpful to click the two base plates together using Legos on top to help make sure the base plates are aligned.
