Separate whipped cream into 3 to 5 1-cup portions in separate bowls.
Add 3-5 drops of food coloring to each bowl, stirring gently so as to just color a portion of the whipped cream. You can even marble colors together for more colorful eggs.
Place 1 egg into a bowl with the whipped cream and food coloring mixture and gently roll it to cover it in the whipped cream, then place the egg back into the egg carton without removing the whipped cream. Repeat with all of the eggs until they have all been covered in colored whipped cream.
Allow the eggs to sit in this mixture for 30 minutes to an hour (the longer you allow them to sit, the more bright and vivid the colors will be).
Remove an egg from the carton and, with a clean paper towel, gently wipe the excess whipped cream from the egg. Place the egg onto a second paper towel to dry completely. Repeat with the remaining eggs.
