Equipment

Ingredients

  • 1 Cardboard Roll
  • 1 Sheet Pink Paper
  • Purple Red and Pink Crepe Streamer Paper
  • 1 Red Glitter Heart Sticker
  • 1 Googly Eye

Instructions

  • Cut a piece of pink paper sized to fit all the way around your cardboard roll to cover the entirety of it.
  • With the marker, draw loose humps along the long side of the paper, to represent scales.
  • Glue or tape the piece of pink paper to the outside of the cardboard roll.
  • Pinch together a 3-inch long section of purple crepe streamer paper on one side, forming a long fin shape.
  • Glue or tape this long purple fin to the top center of the cardboard roll.
  • Pinch together a 1-inch long section of purple crepe streamer paper on one side, forming a short fin shape.
Glue or tape this short purple fin to the side center of the cardboard roll (about ¼ of the way around the roll from the long fin).
  • Glue or tape the googly eye about 1 inch from the end of the cardboard roll, between the two fins.
Glue or tape the red glitter heart sticker to the end of the cardboard roll, hanging slightly off, with the pointy end of the heart pointed toward the eye.
  • Cut 1-foot long lengths of the pink, purple and red crepe streamer paper.
  • Tie the three lengths into a knot in the center.
  • Stuff the knot into the cardboard roll and tape or glue it in place. Then play!
