Using empty toilet paper rolls, construction paper, and a few other supplies you are going to make the cutest toilet roll craft that is perfect for Valentine’s Day.
If you are like our house there is what seems like a never ending supply of empty toilet paper rolls. Instead of just tossing them in the trash or the recycling bin I like to use them for the kids to make fun projects. My 6 year old collects all of the empty rolls anytime she sees them or any empty cardboard tubes and stores them in the craft cabinet we have until we are going to make something with them.

Made with simple supplies this toilet paper roll fish craft is perfect for kids of all ages. If the kids want to make more than one it is simple to do and then you can have them make their adorable own school of fish that can be out as cute Valentine’s Day decorations.
After crafting the paper roll fish you can then have the kids play with them or you can hang them up and use these beautiful fish as Valentine’s Day decorations.

How Do I Decorate With Paper Roll Fish?
These fish are so versatile! You can really let your imagination run wild when it comes to decorating with them. Hang them from the ceiling, put them on the mantel, or use them as centerpieces for your Valentine’s Day party. Kids can add them along the edge of their desk or dresser. The possibilities are endless!
How Can Kids Play with Thie Valentine’s Day Toilet Paper Roll Fish?
This is a great opportunity to get the kids involved in some hands-on crafting. They can help with cutting out the fish shapes and painting them. Once they’re dry, the fun really begins! I love when kids can have something to use with imaginative play. This can be used as a puppet or used like an action figure. Kids can incorporate the fish with their other toys or make a school of fish. The fish can swim around the house, on the floor, or even while kids are playing in the tub, although don’t get them wet. Since it is made using a recycled tp roll, it can’t get wet but if it does, kids can just make a new one.
This fish can also be used as part of a study unit on Rainbow fish. As kids read the book, have them create their rainbow fish. Instead of giving away beautiful scales, the kids can give away multiple rainbow fish puppets that they create themselves.
