Tips for this Craft
Easy Hand clean up. I recommend having a container of baby wipes at the table you were working out so you’re able to wipe off the paint from their little hands before they can get it all over your walls on the way to the bathroom to wash their hands.
Use a plate of paint. If you are working with younger kids then you might want to have them press their hands into the paint and then make the handprint. If you are doing it this way pour the brown paint onto a paper plate and then press the kid’s hand into the paint.
Change up the colors. If you want to have colorful turkey feathers then you can paint your child’s fingers red, orange and yellow and the palm of their hand brown to have different colored feathers on the turkey. Just paint each finger a different color and then each of the turkey’s feathers on the handprint will be a different color.

What is the best paint to use for kids Handprint Crafts?
If you are making handprint crafts with younger children then you will want to use a non-toxic paint. If you are doing handprint crafts with older children then you can use tempera paint or acrylic paint.
