Summer time is here and the kids are most likely going to come and tell you that they are bored at some point every day. It is bound to happen, because well that is what kids do. But on the hot days they will also add in that they are hot so now they are hot and bored and wanting something to do.

Sponge Toss
This one works best with a lot of kids. Set out bucket of water and a large sponges. Soak the sponges in the bucket and then toss it back and forth. Have the kids stand facing each other about a foot apart and have kids toss the sponge, then have them take a step back. Continue tossing the sponge and taking steps further back until someone drops their sponge. the last set of kids to drop the sponge while tossing it back and forth wins.
Water Balloon Hot Potato
Fill up a few water balloons and get everyone in a circle. Toss the water balloon to each person like a hot potato and the first person to drop it or have it break loses and stays cool. If you want to make your life easier grab the easy to fill water balloons – you can fill 100 water balloons in less then 60 seconds! They are awesome!
Sprinkler
There is just something fun about running thru a sprinkler. Plus the super simple set up of hooking it up to the hose makes it totally easy for mom 😉 You can get your standard one or get one like this twist pipeline sprinkler that is really awesome!
Sand and Water table
This is a great one for the little ones. There are many different styles and designs that you can find and you can almost always find a great deal on one on Amazon here. Plus I found this really cool DIY Sand and Water table.
Water balloon baseball
Play like you would with a baseball but fill up a ton of water balloons before playing and use them instead of a baseball. If you want to make your life easier grab the easy to fill water balloons!
Slip and Slide
Ok, I don’t really need to say anything more then that. I am sure most of you know the amazingness of a slip and slide and how it was a childhood summer staple. Ok yea so we got some bumps and bruises but we are all ok.
Watergun fight
Keep a bunch of waterguns on hand, then when the kids say they are bored tell them to chase each other around the yard.
