Slime is such a great activity to do with kids, they get to have fun making it and then have fun playing with it. If you have never made slime before let me warm you that your first time is not going to be your last time.

Because I am making slime with little kids I opt to use a colored model magic clay over food coloring, this is less messy and avoids staining the kids hands and their clothing.
This Christmas slime recipe has a deep red color while being perfectly fluffy and stretchy. Butter slime is one of my kids favorite slimes because of the texture. I won’t lie there is definitely some stress relief that happens when I as an adult squeeze butter slime in my hands.
Why is butter Slime called butter slime?
While butter slime does not actually have butter in it. Butter slime gets its name because it is a smooth textured slime that has a buttery-like texture. Unlike traditional slime it doesn’t ooze like other slimes, instead it bends, molds and is a lot more fluffy then other types of slime.
